Visualizing Data

This module is crucial because visualization is a language-independent platform through which viewers can discover patterns and relationships in the data that help them to communicate business issues more effectively within and outside the organization.

Learning Objectives

I have learned how to :

  • Critically evaluate the capabilities of different visualization tools and programming languages (proprietary and/or open source) to support the discovery and display of critical and valuable answers in different types of datasets.
  • Systematically implement key analysis and visualization techniques using realistic data sources from disparate disciplines.
  • Effectively use the most appropriate visualization tools to effectively present and communicate complex information and facilitate informed decision-making.

Individual Reflection

This is my reflection piece on:

  • My data analysis skills and statistical knowledge and discuss how confident I am using data visualization techniques for visualizing data.
  • The challenges i faced
  • My experience of using data visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Producing results using R. Learn more

Professional Skills Matrix and Action Plan

I have gained and improved several valuable visualization and programming skills from this module.

  • Data Visualization with Tableau.
  • Programming Skills (R).
  • Statistical Analysis .

I can apply these skills at my workplace in visualization tasks for improved decision-making. However, I still need to improve upon Statistical Analysis as this is an essential skill for a Data Scientist.
